Godzilla's is Scary, But Not Compared to His Lawyers | Threat Level from Wired.com

GodzillaImage via Wikipedia

Think Godzilla's Scary? Meet His Lawyers | Threat Level from Wired.com: "Godzilla is a pussycat compared to the coterie of lawyers and investigators in Los Angeles and Japan who aggressively protect the radioactive behemoth from anyone who dares to appropriate his lizardly image for profit."

When you have to sue everyone possible over your 50 year old idea which is embedded into our culture then you are probably going to be extinct just like the creature itself. I wonder if they will send me a cease and desist letter for mentioning their tired character, lol

In addition, using the likeness of Godzilla in advertising and marketing campaigns is not an innovative or memorable idea. It is trite, tired, over done, boring......

Well, at least those two lawyers have jobs and seem to be having fun.

Notorious Lawyer Jacques Vergès

Klaus BarbieImage via Wikipedia

Interview with Notorious Lawyer Jacques Vergès: SPIEGEL ONLINE - "He defended 'Carlos the Jackal' and Nazi war criminal Klaus Barbie."

Thinking about this guy definitely makes my ulcer worse...

Someone has to defend these evil people, but Verges seems to like it. Here is his view on trials, "In every trial, a drama unfolds in front of the public, a duel between the defense and the prosecution. Both tell stories that are not necessarily true, but possible. One is declared the victor in the end, but this doesn't necessarily have anything to do with justice."

Historians vs. George W. Bush - Guess what the historians think of Bush

U.S. President George W. Bush announces his no...Image via Wikipedia

Historians vs. George W. Bush: "Of 415 historians who expressed a view of President Bush’s administration to this point as a success or failure, 338 classified it as a failure and 77 as a success." Check out the article if you can stand to read about the blunders of bush anymore. Historians vs. George W. Bush via George Mason University's History News Network

How much more proof do we need? Is there any other job where you can be this incompetent and not get fired? My ulcer is flaring up just thinking about the repercussions of the bush administration.

I have nightmares of Alberto Gonzales saying, "I do not recall," over and over...

Yin and Yang

President George W. Bush and President-elect B...Image by stevegarfield via Flickr

I found this fascinating quote today:

In what may be the most surreal event this year, President Elect Barack Obama and President Reject (see what I did there?) George W. Bush had a little sit down this afternoon. No one knows what these two talked about...The Huffington Post News Team, 236: Obama And Bush - Inside The White House Meeting... WITH HOT PICS!!!, Nov 2008The entire time Obama must have been wondering how this simpleton made it to the white house for two terms. And bush looks even more unaware standing next to Obama, lol I am troubled by the smug expression bush has on his face all the time. He is way to far removed from all the suffering happening in the country now. And he definitely does not even understand the impact of his actions of people.

To top off all of his wonderful decisionse is hell bent on destroying the environment in his final days in office. God help us...
