Lawsuits filed over Sidekick outages | Beyond Binary - CNET News: "It was only a matter of time, but the T-Mobile Sidekick issue has now spilled over to the courthouse.

A number of lawsuits have been filed, including two filed in federal court in Northern California on Wednesday that allege both negligence and false claims on the part of Microsoft and T-Mobile."

As a long-time IT manager I do not find it surprising that the disaster recovery plan by these two companies were lacking. Their respective leadership should have made it highest priority. These companies who should understand the value of data just don't get it!

Considering the money they make from our data you would think they would be more careful. Well I definitely think my info is important to a certain extent. Luckily though I was not personally effected by this, but many of my friends were. So wake up Microsoft!
