My Ulcer May Love This!
Image via CrunchBase
As a technologist I recite this mantra to all my clients and friends, "Back Ups, Back Ups, Back Ups!" Make sure to have some "on-site" (in your home or office) and make sure to have some "off-site." Do it regularly and disaster recovery becomes much less frustrating. And there are many many reasons you may be disaster recovery mode so take it from me before you learn the hard way.
I am very eager to test this service out NOW!

Wow! Google Gives 20 Million to Several Important Causes...

Good job Google (GOOG)! I am a big critic of yours but this almost makes up for all of your transgressions, lol
I hope some other companies who consider themselves progressive can follow in your footsteps. And as individuals we can learn a lot from this as well.
As we drink egg nog in front of warm fireplaces its important to remember the billions who live below the poverty line. And its children who suffer the most from poverty; lack of clean drinking water, food, shelter, education.....

Excellent Marketing Tool I Use Several Times Per Day!!!
Image via Wikipedia
I love being able to get insights on my competitors and my own sites in one click. Between spyfu.com, compete.com and SEMRush you can get a pretty good understanding of how much reach and marketing dollars a site has. My array of research tools gets much deeper than this though but for a quick snapshot these three are highly useful. I actually checked the numbers and data at these three sites against data from my own campaigns and found that they are pretty accurate. There were slight discrepancies and differences but the overall trends were real and matched up. Do your own research and let me know what you find....
in reference to: SEMRush - service for competitors research, shows Google organic and AdWords keywords for any site or domain (view on Google Sidewiki)Tuesday, March 10, 2009
Google Looses Small Case and Hopefully Learns Lesson

'Not any reason,' I said. 'Not because I have blue eyes. Or brown eyes.'"
I am glad Aaron fought back on this one. Google's policies definitely need some reworking. They have grown too big too fast and the little guy once again got lost in the fray.
GOOGLE (GOOG): You better be keeping records if you are going to be handing out penalties like a trigger happy cowboy!
